Project description
A rural education project for VH Adarsh Vidya Mandir–Uchch Prathmic Vidyalaya, a middle school started in 2000 that enrolls around 300 children. The school’s mission is to give village children a high-quality education and motivate them to keep studying after they leave. SSF’s support improves basic facilities (a bathroom, furniture, drinking water) and education quality (stationery, books and tuition fees).
Project details
Funding to the school to support:
- Expansion plan – extend the middle school to an intermediate school over four years.
- Girl child education incentive plan – scholarships for six deserving girls in each of grades 9–12 for above-average performance and for continuing their studies.
- Library setup – a room with comics, general-knowledge books, magazines and newspapers for children to read.
